Oatmeal Milk and Honey and Bath Truffles

I made 8 pounds of Oatmeal, Milk & Honey soap this weekend. It's one of my all time favorites.

I also made some bath truffles with a beachy fragrance topped off with melt and pour shells. I think I may have made a mistake though - I used natural cocoa butter and the fragrance of the cocoa butter is overpowering the beach fragrance. I think I will use the deodorized cocoa butter next time. Has anyone ever had this issue?

  1. I have never tried to make soap, or candles. I do have a recipe for a homemade scrub that I really want to try and make, with rose petals from my garden. I love the seashell soaps.

    1. Thank you Melissa! Scrub with rose petals sounds great. I haven't attempted to make scrubs yet, but definitely on my list as well. Hope you have a wonderful week!

  2. Wow, 8 lbs of soap! That's a lot of soaping going on. ;)

Your bath truffles are adorable! I love the little embellishments on the top. I've only used cocoa butter in my body butter, and I left it unscented because I really wanted that lovely cocoa smell to come through.
